It may or may not have something to do with Leicester CAMRA's pub of the year...
Watch this space.

Hanging in North Bar drinking Der Nord Sekt by Buxton Brewery.
This Berliner Weisse style beer is a great refreshing sour at 2.8% ABV but my thirst requires a larger bottle.
Just fantastic. More please.

Once there was Time Bar, a place where you stood for what seemed an age whilst the person in front of you ordered five cocktails that each took five minutes to assemble.
Time Bar had a refurbishment a few months ago and became The Parcel Yard. It's right next to Leicester Railway Station so you might expect that this was a chance to become an exciting venue like Pivni's Sheffield/York/Euston Taps.
Not really, a couple of Steamin' Billy Ales and Stella Black. It's Steamin' Billy doing what they do, and they do it well for a crowd that wants it. I just feel that it was the chance to do something a bit different. I'll no doubt pop in again if I miss a train.

Simon has gone.
Just awful sad news.
I first met Simon at Leicester CAMRA beer festival in 2010 where we both supped Hopshackle Resination. Countless times since in Sheffield and Nottingham.
Wherever there was good beer, Simon would be there.
We used to take the micky out of one another something rotten.
That's what I will miss the most.
I feel so sad now there's an empty chair in a pub somewhere.
You won't be forgotten, Mister Scoop.

Hello you. Yes you.
You cannot and will not drink a bottle of Punk IPA without the need to comment on what batch number you are drinking and how it compares with the previous umpteen bottles you've tipped down your sad head.
You sad lonely idiot.
You will sometimes say it's not as good as it used to be.
If it really bothers you why do you keep buying it?
Do you drink it purely so you can comment on it?
Why not try leaving the house and going to a pub for once in your life. Hey, you could even go to a BrewDog bar and ask the person that serves you what batch number is in the keg. Idiot.

I detest drinking chalky cask ale.
I'm not a great fan of drinking beers that have been over hopped with T90 hop pellets but drinking cask ale that makes my lips taste salty between sips? GET LOST!
Water, Malt, Hops, Yeast.
and GYPSUM. What the hell is this doing to my body? Who knows. Certainly doesn't make my drinking experience any good.

Geoff Rosenmeier said "With the introduction of LoviBONDS we will be able to expand and brew the new Weatherspoon's house ale, Lovin SpoonfAle."
